"For myself, choosing to become a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., was one of the best choices I have ever made.
Sigma women define the true meaning of womanhood by striving to make a difference in their community, uplifting her fellow
sisters and succeeding in all that she sets out to do. With a motto of "Greater Service, Greater Progress," it's no question
that Sigma Gamma Rho is the sorority for me!"

"I joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in the early 70's because of the community service the organization was involved in and
because of their high scholastic achievement. Throughout my undergrad years, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority maintained the highest
G.P.A. over the other black Greeks on the campus. I wanted to be apart of an organization that stressed quality rather than
quantity."

"Sigma women come from all walks of life; lawyers, doctors, and congresswomen to name a few. No matter what side of the mountain
they have climbed they are always willing to help another succeed. This common bond of determination, professionalism, and
being down to earth inspires me to continue the legacy our founders set out to reach. I know if I stumble along the way one
of my sister's keepers will be there to pick me up."

"Community service is the the glue that keeps many communities together. I should hope that you care and you are proud of
where you live. I have found no better display of these feelings than the efforts of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. I joined
and have not looked back. E-Yip!"

"I joined the lovely ladies of SGRHO because of the relationship that the sisters possessed. I never had any sisters and
I thought this would be a wonderful way to experience sisterhood. In addition the founders were seven magnificently educated
ladies. Being that I had a strong interest in teaching and they were connected to education, I found a strong bond between
myself and the founders."

"I chose Sigma because of her uniqueness to all the other sororities and the feeling of true sisterhood that I experience
in Sigma daily. I was amazed by the strength of our seven founders in 1922 in Indiana."

I am proud to say I am an elite, educated woman of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. I joined Sigma because of the legacy of
the sorority. While listening to one of the sorors at an informal rush explain how we were not only founded on a predominately
white university in Indiana, but also in the year 1922 when African Americans were persecuted repeatedly for attempting to
strengthen ourselves and our community, I was very impressed. I felt our founders were bold women who knew the importance
of educating, and making progress within our society. I knew then, this was the legacy I wanted to follow. The Sigma atmosphere
was so welcoming that I felt I was called to join this sisterhood. I have no regrets!

"I chose Sigma because it seemed like a really warm and friendly sisterhood. Everyone was very open and took me in with open
arms before I even decided to join. I knew that regardless if I joined Sigma or not, I had made friends for life. So with
that I chose to join Sigma for myself a part of that everlasting friendship that wasn't just in Wichita, but everywhere.
